dear karen and brad,

what should one pack for a weekend in tahoe?
all one's fanciest headbands, of course.

i wanted to apologize for the lack of posts over the past few days. i felt that i had been pretty good at giving you daily updates of the MJG gang. our trip this weekend really threw me off. i am attemptinig to make it up to you with this picture-packed post of our activities in tahoe over the past few days.
we stayed with grama and grampa chang (grace refers to them both as 'chang') as well and david and nessie. it was a beautiful weekend.

grace enjoyed throwing rocks into the lake.
how cute are these?!

a token picture of me...just in case you wondered if i was actually there.
grace had so much fun at the commons beach park. swinging...
and riding the wild seahorse. according to grace the seahorse makes a 'neigh' sound very similar to the horse.
in preparation for the upcoming ski season, grace tried on some helmets. pink?
or white?
we were all liking the white. you know, so as to not limit her outfit options.
the changs took such wonderful care of us, as usual. yummy meals, great conversation, golf, movies...etc. we love being with them.
grace, mark, nessie and i took a lovely walk before dinner sunday night.
when grace heard a car coming she spread her feet apart and said, "car...bridge."
how thoughtful. just making a nice little bridge for the car to go under.
from the top of the hill we had this gorgeous view of lake tahoe. we had the extra special treat of watching a seaplane land. i knew it was a seaplane from my experience with grace's 'planes' book. one of her faves. oh, and also because it landed on the water.
here's a nice side shot so you can see her great flower beanie.
riding on daddy's shoulders on the way back.
her legs got a bit tired, so she opted for the 'hang around the neck' instead.
mark made grace this awesome fort next to our bed for her to sleep in. she loved it...wouldn't even let me in to try it out.
the only thing that would have made it better??? if she'd actually slept in it!
we are back home now, so i will try to keep up my daily blog posts for you. it shouldn't be too difficult since i only have to do it for 26 more days!!!
we love you and miss you. can't wait to see you again soon.

Wow that looks like fun. I am just wondering why none of my relatives have an awesome cabin? I may have made a poor marriage choice.
