we've been talking about a trip to the pumpkin patch for a while now but i still felt like it was too early ... how is october over half way through?! so monday, with awesome 75* weather, we made it happen. in the past mark has either been working or in school when we pick pumpkins, so it was an extra happy day since all four of us could be together.
this is pretty true to form for viv. she loves to climb on everything and then sit victorious at the top. luckily the pumpkins weren't too tall. her favorite things to climb are the shelves in the fridge.
we have a picture of grace as "chief hog" from her first trip to this place when she was almost two. it was only fitting that she maintain her title. viv takes her role as "father o'mule" very seriously.

and just for the record, here's one of the girls being super happy in their matching outfits. i really don't think they were mad, just had the sun in their eyes maybe?
i love the fall. it makes me want to open all my windows and bake.
